Welcome to the Glaze Family Outdoors (GFO) website. When it comes to hunting and fishing, it's hard to keep us at home. In our family, if it's not hunting season then it's hunting movie watching season. And if we can't find any hunting movies we haven't already seen then it must be time to go fishing.

Our enthusiasm for the outdoors meant that when camcorders started coming out and we starting filming our lives it just naturally turned into movies about hunting and fishing, in that way we've come up with our own methods for making hunting movies and you'll find some of them right here on the Glaze Family Outdoors website (visit the GFO STORE to see what we have available). We're not professional hunters or movie makers, just some guys who bought department store video cameras and started filming. We're very much a do it yourself group. Check out the ABOUT GFO page for more.

I could go on and on but it's deer season and I have things to do. But for a glimpse into a typical day in the life of the Glaze family during hunting season, read on...

HOW IT ALL STARTS...

Well it's time to make a big decision. Daylight is breaking and you have all your hunting gear laid out beside your work clothes. Your plan is to go hunting as soon as you get off of work, but aren't plans made to be broken? In your mind you ponder the decision,Tom hunting after work, or hunting ALL DAY. As you gulp down the last hot swallow of mud and finish off the last piece of bacon you hear the front door open. It's your hunting buddy/coworker/cousin (Tom). He's dressed in his work clothes and has that big ole lip of his hanging down from a long face (you know that face, the one where your not really doing what you want to do, but instead doing what you have to). Looks like he made up your mind for you, time to go to work. As you slip on your work boots, grab your jacket and hat you realize you're already a little late, then the phone rings. You pick it up and find your other hunting partner Ottie on the other end and he is heading for his tree stand. Now your mind is going back to where it was an hour ago. You look outside. There is a heavy dew and a light fog. It's just breaking day and the pressure is building. You have to make this same decision every morning of hunting season; hunt or work?

YAHOOOOO!!!! LET'S GO HUNTIN'!
